Frequently Asked Questions about Daily Fantasy Projections
Q: How do I get my free projections?
A: Just sign up through our site and play real money games on Fan Duel or Draftstreet. Once you are confirmed as a sign up, I will email you daily projections for MLB, NFL, NHL and NBA. To follow step by step sign up instructions, click here for Fan Duel or here for Draftstreet.
Q: How are these projections different from what I can get on ESPN, Yahoo, etc.?
A: All of the information provided on the mainstream sports sites is geared to their fantasy products. However, those games are FULL season contests. The players they recommend are likely to perform well over a season, but unlikely to perform well tonight for various reasons – matchup, injury, etc.
On my site you will get the players who project to perform well today. These projections are tailored to the scoring system of various daily contests.
Q: Do you provide injury and weather updates?
A: No. That information is readily available online through mainstream outlets.
Q: I really want to play daily fantasy games, but just don’t have the time. Will Daily Fantasy Projections help me?
A: Absolutely! The projections will give you a quick and easy list of players to choose from. (Just make sure to check for injuries and the like.)
You will be competitive right out of the box!
Q: So you’re saying with this service I’ll win money playing daily fantasy contests?
A: Yes, very likely over time. There will be winning streaks and losing streaks. I use this data myself and have experienced two winning months for each losing month. I have had five profitable years, since daily contests started in 2006.
However, if you’re a total donk and don’t pay attention to injuries, suspensions and postponements, you’re not going to win money. Just sayin’.
Q: How much money can I win?
A: This depends on the volume and stakes you play. Contests range from $1 to $500. While you might get very few contests at $100 and up, you might get 25 contests at $11 or $22.
Q: You say you use these projections yourself. Won’t we end up with the same rosters?
A: Very unlikely. While we might share some players, there are usually so many players to choose from that the rosters will be different.
Q: How do you make your projections?
A: OMG! This is like asking Colonel Sanders for his original recipe!
The projection model has evolved over the years, but it also has improved. While the formula is somewhat proprietary, I use a minimum of three separate data sources for each projection model. I combine the data to create my simulated box score. Then I apply these results to the various scoring systems of daily contests. Voila!
There are some other data services available that provide simulations. However, Daily Fantasy Projections is the ONLY site that gives you exactly what you need to play contests right away!
Q: My question still is not answered!!!
A: No problem. Just contact Daily Fantasy Projections via support@dailyfantasyprojections.com and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
